Locks Heath Junior School went back in time as they held a Victorian Day for their pupils.
Year Five pupils had to attend their lessons dressed as Victorian school children for the day as they took part in several activities held by the teachers.
The Victorian day is an annual event at Locks Heath Junior School. It is a way of helping the pupils understand what life was like in the Victorian era.
Gillian O’Hare a helper at Locks Heath Juniors said: “There are different activities in each room for the children to have a go at.”
The day consisted of activities including handwriting lessons, maths, singing and an assembly.
The teachers also took on the role creating dark, candlelit rooms for the students to learn in, as well as creating dunces’ hats, and carrying canes to create even more realism.
They also inspected children for clean hands and uniform, which would have been strictly imposed during that era.
